This course provides insurance professionals with a practical, integrated overview of annuities, Social Security benefits, and life insurance, focusing on how these financial tools work together in retirement, income, and legacy planning.
Participants will explore the fundamental structures, features, benefits, and limitations of fixed, indexed, and variable annuities, including income riders, surrender charges, taxation, and suitability considerations. Emphasis is placed on understanding how annuities can address longevity risk, market volatility, and guaranteed income needs.
The course also examines Social Security planning, including eligibility, benefit calculations, full retirement age, early vs. delayed claiming strategies, spousal and survivor benefits, taxation of benefits, and coordination with other retirement income sources, as administered by the Social Security Administration.
In addition, participants will review the role of life insurance in financial planning, comparing term, whole life, universal life, and indexed universal life policies. Topics include death benefit protection, cash value accumulation, policy taxation, beneficiary designations, and how life insurance can be used for income replacement, estate planning, and retirement supplementation.
Real-world scenarios and planning considerations highlight how annuities, Social Security, and life insurance can be coordinated to create balanced, compliant, and client-focused strategies.
